Sid is familiar to audiences in Pune, despite having
spent considerable stretches away, due to his long association
with the rock scene in town. He came to note as the
bassist for the band Trip in the 1990s, following which
his banking career took him to Europe. After his return
to Pune a couple of years ago he took the bass chair
for Sankara, the short-lived but acclaimed improvisational
acoustic folk-fusion group. Currently, he brings his
sense of groove and melodic invention to the
quartet version of Silverchops.
