The frontperson for Silverchops, Rose places high value on the integrity of phrasing, exploration of harmonic concepts, and overall musical creativity. Her piano playing displays her tonal breadth, ranging from a post-bop/mainstream approach to a driving, Latin-funk electric style. Also an excellent arranger and composer, she directs the music and sonic shape of the ensemble.

Originally from Canberra, Australia, Rose started on the piano when she was six. Her life in music has since become an accomplished blend of major professional experience with extensive formal training.
 

In a long and multifaceted career, Rose has toured all over Australia, performed at the Balmain Jazz Festival, the Bellingen Jazz Festival (1993) and the Manly Jazz Festival (1994), and been an integral part of the jazz community in Canberra and Sydney.
