Though he insists that music, for him, is not much more
than another recreational activity, Jayant has been
a fairly involved guitarist for over three decades.
Essentially self-taught, he started playing during his
early years in Darjeeling, India.
He has drifted through several genres of music, having
worked with pop bands, written soundtracks for short
films and sporadically explored jazz and Indo-Western
fusion, which saw him performing in Pune with Crayon,
and then with Uncle Crow .
